elusive good night's rest

Having problems with my pillow recently. It's getting bad enuff that I woke up with a headache the past week. Am very tempted to go test n buy a Tempur pillow. The only thing holding me back is the abhorrent price. A tempur pillow costs on average SGD$200+. Sadly, much as I would like it to be, this Cat ain't made of money. 

Every night is a gamble now. Will I sleep well tonight? 

I wonder will I get the funds if I start a Gofundme for a tempur pillow.. 

life of being unvaccinated

When 1 is unvaccinated in SG right now, u seem to be ostracised. In order to get a 24hr free pass yst, I had to spend $62 and even had to debate with the doc on why I can't be vaccinated as yet. That calls for a different story on different day. 

Anyways, why did I need the free pass? I wanted to watch a movie n have dinner with friends at a restaurant. 

Thus, the $62 was spent (think I need to find somewhere less costly) 

To fully make my $62 worth it, we went for a Goldclass movie, had dinner at HDL, and to fully utilise it, made the husband go mcdonalds with me in the morning. Wanted to go for a proper brunch, but we were racing against time n decided on the nearest place. Thus McDonalds.

Lesson learnt, time it properly in future to fully maximise 24hrs. Lol. 

Can't wait to be vaccinated. 

911

today marks 20 years since 911. I can't say it has affected me directly, juz the aftermath which affected millions of ppl around the world n altered the aviation industry entirely.
I remember the disbelief when I heard it (was working at my mum's stall in market when someone came n told us "USA going to war"). Totally thought he was exaggerating. Which he was at that point, but turns out his "prophecy" came true.
Then started watching news updates on TV n the scenes were horrible to watch. People jumping off 100s of floor in desperation, fires, buildings crumbling. 

As the stories began to come together,  you can't help but admire the bravery of some people. I'm sure there were more stories of cowardice, but I think the first instinct of humans is self-preservation, so u can't really blame some of them. 

Which suddenly brought me to think. What if 911 happened 10-20 years later, with the current Gen Z n Gen A people as grownups? Open ended qn but one can't help but wonder. The generation that went thru 911 were the boomers n Gen X-ers. One's gotta admit that their generation were tougher n more resilient. 

Oh well, juz my own thoughts and wondering early in the morn cos my husband kicked me in his dream n woke me up. Lol
