Kind of sucky to hear her cough n knowing that she probably has a sore throat and phlegm n nothing much I can do except to coax her to drink more milk n water n try to keep her hydrated and fed.
Only thing we could do to ease the discomfort is to suck out the mucus with what I like to call " the sucker machine". Basically just a suction device that you put at her nostril n using air pressure it'll suck out the mucus. But to little one it's a torture device. It's probably uncomfortable to have mucus forcefully removed. She starts crying once she sees us holding the thing, whether or not it's used. (Gonna use it as a threat in future. *evil grin)
But torture device aside. I'm really thankful that she takes all her meds without any fight and pretty willingly as it is. Sometimes she even goes 'aahh' after drinking it like she really enjoys it. Much preferable to the struggles from the sucker thing..
